We had fun celebrating World Book Day in P. 5 by completing various activities. In the morning we completed a comprehension and did research into the origin and beginnings behind World Book Day and why we celebrate it.
We also did a couple of fun interactive quizzes on the IWB on popular children’s books. The children then designed new covers for their favourite books after interesting discussion around our favourite books and authors.
We finished the day by making posters to show us sharing our favourite book with either a friend or a family member not to mention going home with a book token each!
